Tiny Treasure Boxes from Recycled Toilet Paper Rolls

A while back at Junk Journal Club, we turned humble recycled toilet paper rolls into the cutest little treasure boxes! After folding, shaping, and gluing them into tiny pocket-sized containers, everyone painted their boxes in their own unique style — from soft vintage neutrals to cheerful pastel colors. Some were finished with beads and string closures, while others were left ready for the next layer of embellishment.

These little boxes are perfect for storing tiny ephemera, affirmations, tea bag tags, paper scraps, tiny notes, or other small treasures that tend to wander around our craft spaces. We loved seeing how creative everyone got with such a simple recycled material!

Now we’re ready for the final decorative step: rubber stamping and distress details. If you attended that Junk Journal Club meeting and still have your unfinished box at home, please let me know if you’d like to bring it back in to complete the stamping portion with us. We’d love to help you finish your tiny treasure box and see how everyone’s projects turned out!
