As our Junk Journal Club continues to grow, we’ve been working on ways to make participation easier, more welcoming, and less overwhelming for everyone — especially new members and anyone who prefers a more relaxed creative experience.
We’re excited to announce several new additions to help keep club information simple and easy to find!
New Junk Journal Club Hub Page
We now have one dedicated Junk Journal Club page on our website that will serve as the main home for club information moving forward.
This page will include:
- monthly project information
- printable project pages
- supply lists
- meeting updates
- announcements
- membership information
- beginner resources
If you’re ever unsure where to find something related to club activities, this page should always be your first stop.
New “New Members Start Here” Page
We’ve also created a beginner-friendly welcome page designed to help new (and returning!) members feel more comfortable joining club activities.
This page includes:
- what to expect at meetings
- suggested supplies
- information about our projects
- participation options
- prepared packet membership details
- reassurance for beginners and casual crafters
Even longtime members may find this page helpful as a quick reference.
Optional Prepared Packet Membership
To help simplify participation for members who prefer not to print project materials at home, we now offer an optional Prepared Packet Membership through our Ko-fi shop.
Prepared Packet Members receive printed monthly project materials ready to use during meetings, helping make participation easier and more relaxing.
Important reminder: Junk Journal Club itself remains completely FREE to attend. Members are always welcome to print and bring their own materials if preferred.
Creative Contribution Projects
We’re also introducing optional Creative Contribution Projects during meetings.
These are simple, relaxing, low-pressure creative activities available for anyone who may prefer a calmer or more repetitive crafting experience during club time.
Members may choose these activities instead of the main project at any time, and can either keep what they make or contribute creations to our new Community Ephemera Box.
We want Junk Journal Club to remain welcoming and accessible for many different creative styles, comfort levels, and energy levels.
