Yesterday I made a couple of ATCs — Artist Trading Cards — and they were exactly the creative reset I needed. ATCs are small 2.5″ x 3.5″ pieces of art originally made by artists to swap and collect, and they’ve become a favorite playground for mixed-media creators.
Their small size makes them wonderfully low-pressure. You don’t have to commit to a big project or worry about perfection. You simply get to explore color, texture, and intuition… just because it feels good.
If you’ve been feeling stuck or overwhelmed, try making something tiny. Let go of “important” and “impressive,” and make something that exists for no other reason but joy.
Here’s to creating for creativity’s sake. 💛
